Pressed painting can be a lot of fun. You can make some great paintings to hang up or give away.
Craft Project Directions:
To make this craft project you will need tempera paints, paint brushes, paper, and some cups for your water.
To begin, create a little work space for you to create your painting in. Perhaps lay down some newspapers to work on top of. Take out your paints, cups of water, and brushes.
You will create a great painting and replicate your painting by pressing a piece of paper on top of it. You can do this by folding a piece of paper in half, decorating one side and then pressing the pieces of paper together or you can press a separate piece of paper down on top of a piece of paper on which you created your initial painting.
To create the folded version, take a piece of paper and fold it in half. Paint an awesome pattern, design, or picture on one side of the paper.
You can paint with all sorts of objects- don't limit yourself to just paint brushes! You can use objects like q-tips, forks, craft sticks, sponges, feathers, string, cotton balls, your fingers, and much more.
Just use your imagination to create a different types of effects. Next fold the paper together and press. Now open the paper up and you should have a duplicate of the picture, pattern, or design you created earlier.
Let your painting dry and hang it up someplace special.
