Stunning Easter Bonnets

Easter is almost here! Create a stunning Easter Bonnet to wear on this special day!

Craft Project Directions:
To make this craft project you will need cotton balls. 2 paper plates, colored construction paper, crayons, markers, Easter grass, tape, glue, hole puncher, scissors, ribbon, and colorful pipe cleaners.

To begin, take a paper plate and punch two holes slightly in from the outer edge exactly opposite from one another. Next cut two piece of colorful ribbon, each about ten inches long.

Flip the paper plate upside down. Thread each ribbon through one of the holes you punched and tie a knot to secure it in place. This plate will be the base of your bonnet and the ribbons you will tie together under your chin to hold your bonnet in place.

Next take the other paper plate and cut out the center of it. Twist the remaining plate into a tighter circle. This will cause it to curl up into a bowl type shape. Tape it in place and then tape or glue this onto the center top of the other plate you used to create the bonnet's base.

This will be the bottom of the Easter basket that you will create on the top of your bonnet.Next take several pipe cleaners and weave them together to create a colorful basket handle. Attach the ends of pipe cleaner you created to opposite sides of the basket. Secure in place with tape or glue.

Next cut out an Easter bunny and many Easter eggs to add to your basket. You could also add real candy or eggs- it's up to you! Use your own imagination to cut out an Easter bunny or use the template below.Cut out an Easter Bunny and Easter eggs from colored construction paper.

Decorate them with crayons, glue, glitter, cotton balls, pipe cleaner whiskers, and more! Add the Easter Bunny and eggs to the basket.Next cut out simple paper flower shapes, attach the shape to the ends of pipe cleaners and wind and weave them onto your Easter Bonnet.

Decorate further if you want and wear it with style!

Enjoy Crafting!
